Position: Lead Day-of-Wedding Coordinator
Hourly Pay: $25 per hour for up to 8 hours
Employment Type: Part-time, Temporary

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Day-of-Wedding Coordinator to oversee the flawless execution of wedding events. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, leadership qualities, and a proven ability to manage all aspects of a wedding day. This is a part-time, temporary role with the potential for additional hours based on event schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities: As the Lead Day-of-Wedding Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of wedding events from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Pre-Event Preparation:
      • Collaborate with clients to finalize event details, including timelines, layouts, and special requests.
      • Coordinate with vendors to confirm arrival times, setup requirements, and any specific instructions.
  • Event Management:
      • Lead the setup and arrangement of ceremony and reception spaces according to the established design and layout.
      • Oversee the execution of the event timeline, ensuring that all activities proceed as planned.
      • Direct and guide the assistant coordinator, if applicable, in their assigned tasks.
  • Vendor Coordination:
      • Serve as the main point of contact for vendors, managing their arrival, setup, and any questions throughout the event.
      • Ensure that vendors adhere to the event timeline and guidelines.
  • Guest Experience:
      • Welcome and assist guests, ensuring their comfort and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
      • Monitor guest flow and manage any issues that arise to maintain a smooth experience.
  • Ceremony and Reception Management:
      • Oversee the coordination of the ceremony processional and recessional, guiding participants and ensuring a seamless flow.
      • Manage the transitions between different segments of the event, including speeches, dances, and other activities.
  • Emergency Response:
      • Handle unforeseen challenges with a calm and solution-oriented approach, making quick decisions to maintain the event’s success.
  • Bridal Party Support:
      • Provide guidance to the bridal party, ensuring they are ready and organized for their roles.
      • Assist with any last-minute needs or adjustments.
  • Clean-Up and Breakdown:
      • Supervise the breakdown and cleanup of the event space, ensuring all rented items are collected and the venue is left in pristine condition.
  • Uniform and Professionalism:
    • Adhere to the specified dress code, wearing a Ruban Bleu Shirt, black pants, and black shoes, to maintain a polished appearance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in event coordination, particularly with weddings or similar events.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and manage a team effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations while remaining composed and focused.
  • Availability to work during typical event hours (3pm – 11pm) on weekends and evenings.
  • Physical ability to lift and move event equipment and decor as needed.
  • Familiarity with weddings and wedding etiquette is essential.
