Hourly Pay: $20 per hour for up to 8 hours

Typical Hours: 3pm – 11pm

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Assistant Day-of-Wedding Coordinator to support our team in ensuring the smooth execution of wedding events. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for making couples’ special day truly memorable. This is a part-time, temporary role with the potential for additional hours based on event schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Day-of-Wedding Coordinator, you will work closely with our lead coordinators to provide essential assistance on the day of various wedding events. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Setup and Venue Preparation:
– Assist in the setup of ceremony and reception spaces according to the established layout and design.
– Arrange seating arrangements, table settings, decor, and other visual elements as directed by the lead coordinator.
– Ensure that all signage, guest books, and other necessary items are properly displayed.
- Vendor Coordination:
– Help coordinate the arrival and setup of various vendors, such as florists, photographers, caterers, and musicians.
– Serve as a point of contact for vendors, assisting them with any questions or concerns throughout the event.
- Guest Assistance:
– Greet and guide guests upon arrival, providing directions and answering basic questions.
– Assist with distributing programs, escort cards, and favors to guests as needed.
- Timeline Management:
– Work closely with the lead coordinator to ensure that the event timeline is followed meticulously.
– Alert vendors and participants of upcoming activities and transitions.
- Ceremony and Reception Support:
– Coordinate the processional and recessional during the ceremony, ensuring that participants are ready and in the right order.
– Assist in guiding guests to their seats and managing any unexpected issues that may arise.
- Emergency Handling:
– Be prepared to handle unforeseen situations, such as weather changes or last-minute adjustments, with a calm and solution-oriented approach.
- Assistance to Bridal Party:
– Help ensure that the bridal party members are on schedule and where they need to be.
– Assist with gathering and distributing bouquets, boutonnieres, and other necessary items.
- Clean-Up and Breakdown:
– Assist in the breakdown and cleanup of the event space, ensuring that all rented items are collected and the venue is left in good condition.
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in event coordination, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
– Ability to remain composed and professional in high-pressure situations.
– Availability to work on weekends and evenings as required by event schedules.
– Physical ability to lift and move event equipment and decor as needed.
– Familiarity with weddings and wedding etiquette is preferred.
